Taking the ferry to Europe has always part of the traditional family motoring holiday, and even with the introduction of the Eurotunnel, the number of holiday makers using ferries is increasing.     • Seafrance Ferries SeaFrance celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2006. The company took over the Sealink pool in 1996 and is the only French ferry operator on the Calais Dover route.
    • Norfolk Ferries There are 12 Norfolkline crossings between Dover and Dunkerque in France every day with crossings taking only 1 hour 45 minutes. This route is popular for people travelling with their car to Western European countries such as France, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Germany and Italy for holidays, short breaks,weekend trips, day trips, skiing, shopping etc.
