Travel to Lille to experience gastronomic delights
Coming up for a week in the middle of October is an event that is among the reasons that many visit France in the first place: food.
The annual Tasting Week, or Le Semaine du Gout takes place in many French cities from October 13th to 19th, with Lille hosting its range of culinary treats and festivals like all the others.
In the schools of France, some 3,500 chefs are sent to teach children how to cook, showing why the country is still top of the gastronomic charts.
Many of the restaurants also offer special menus with students and children benefiting from cut prices.
Additionally many of the markets specialise in only regional food, as well as having workshops, demonstrations and cookery lessons on offer.
The event will delight any food fan with a passion of French cooking, so head over to Lille by Eurostar in October for a quick, easy, and filling autumn break.
