Oslo has it all as city break destination
The Norwegian capital offers some of the finest cultural experiences to be found anywhere in Scandinavia, from the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History to the fine knitwear stores of Karl Johans Gate, the European destination offers an eclectic and fun atmosphere.
Much of the city is green (unless during the winter), and offers some great opportunities for fishing, skiing and hiking opportunities in the Oslo Marka forest.
In the coming months the city also has some great events on for those thinking of going.
In mid-October is the Oslo Horse show in the Spektrum, which offers some great family entertainment as well as some world class show jumping.
And in November comes the Oslo World Music Festival, which sees singers from all over the world head to the city to perform, with this years headliners being the Portuguese singer Mariza and the Ethiopian, Mahmoud Ahmed.
