Begin your Irish city break by ferry
Irish Ferries has noted that with 200,000 bags lost each month at UK airports, beginning your city break to Ireland by ferry is often the safest and most cost effective way of travelling.
Declan Mescall, head of passenger sales at Irish Ferries, said: " It's bad enough having to endure the long check-ins and queues, but then to spend further pointless hours waiting in vain at the carousel is guaranteed to drive stress levels off the scale
the very opposite of what a holiday is supposed to do.
"Self-drive holidays by ferry are growing in popularity as holidaymakers take advantage of competitive pricing, short check-in times, space to relax and enjoy the journey, confident that their luggage will not disappear en route."
Dublin in particular has a whole host of exciting events coming up to tempt the city break traveller, including the Dublin Fringe Festival and the International Puppetry Festival, both in September.
