Aeroflot - Russian International Airlines
Having now shrugged off its negative image of as communist-era dinasaur, Aeroflot has emerged as one of the worlds largest, and most profitable airlines. It has a new fleet, better service and a frequent service from London Heathrow. One wishes that things would improve on arrival at Moscow, but its a level playing field in that respect.
British Airways
Fares from LHR to Moscow have changed little over the course of ten years and with the dollar at historical lows, its now cheaper than ever to fly to Russia with BA. The flight times are convenient, the service is relatively good, and the planes recent.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
KLM has an excellent service network that allows you to fly from any UK airport to Moscow via Amsterdam Schipol Airport, allowing you to avoid the hasstle of travelling to London.
Austrian Airlines
Austrian have successfully managed to carve a niche from targeting Eastern European destinations, and Moscow is no exception. You have to fly via Vienna, but the fares can be very good.
Swiss International Airlines.
Flying via Zurich, fare can be very competitive, but the flight on the way out to Moscow arrives at 02:00. This means that by the time you get out of the airport and transfer to the hotel it will be 05:00. Fine if you can handle it.
BMI Airlines
BMI have a direct service to Domodedovo (the other Moscow airport) which is usually a lower than average fare. Its a code share with a local Russian Airline.Eurodestination.com is not responsible for content on external websites.
