Originally a Thomas Cook Airline, Condor was formed as long ago as 1955 and is based in Germany with flights all over the world.

The ever-growing Easyjet network now covers several cities in Germany - Fly to Berlin from Luton, Gatwick, Bristol, Liverpool, Glasgow, and Belfast. You can get to Bremen from Luton, Cologne, from Liverpool, East Midlands and Gatwick, Dortmund from Edinburgh and Luton, and Munich from Stansted and Edinburgh.

Ryanair

Ryanair have a hub at Frankfurt Hahn from where you can fly almost anywhere in Western Europe. From the UK, you can get there from Stansted, as well as Dusseldorf and Bremen. As usual with Ryanair, what you see is what you get.

Air Berlin

With probably the greatest access to Germany of all the low cost airlines, Air Berlin fly direct to Hanover, Leipzig, Dresden, Nuremburg, Munich, Karlsruhe / Baden Baden, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Munster, Bremen and Hamburg from Glasgow, Belfast, Manchester, London Stansted and Bournemouth. Worth a try.

Aer Lingus

The Irish Nationa arline now has highly competitive fares from Dublin to cities all over Germany, including Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich.

Jet2.com

Fly direct to Berlin from Manchester and from Dusseldorf to Leeds Bradford.

German Wings

This new low cost airline, controlled by Lufthansa, flies from both London Gatwick and Stansted to Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Stuttgart. Flights are also available form Edinburgh and Dublin to Cologne - Bonn.
