View Paris from a new perspective

People wanting to see Paris from a height but who don't want to suffer the endless queues that the Eiffel Tower now have a new option; a balloon.

Similar to one in Bournemouth, Paris is to get its own tethered balloon, which will not only allow visitors to get a view from 150 metres above the city, but also act as an environmental monitor through a system of lights.

Those wishing to visit the balloon will have to take a trip to the Parc Andre Citroen, where the balloon, which contains over 6,000 cubic metres of helium, will be lit up in various colours depending on the air quality in the city.

When highly polluted, the balloon will glow red, and when very clean the balloon will glow green, varying between the two depending on the exact quality.

It will be able to carry up to 30 passengers at any one time.
