Given the 24/7 buzz of St Pancras station, the restaurant has an all-day menu, as well as menus specially created for breakfast, elevenses and afternoon tea. The food at St Pancras Grand is proudly British, changing constantly in accordance with the seasons and availability of locally sourced produce. The wine list, artfully compiled to complement the food, will be solely European with premium wines by the glass and the carafe.
St Pancras Grand is romantic, glamorous and modern, with interiors designed by award-winning designer Martin Brudnizki - the brains behind Scotts Restaurant, Browns fashion house on South Molton Street and The Club at The Ivy. Glowing spheres light the room, high ceilings reach up to the Dutch gold leaf roof, an oversized antique mirror hangs on the wall and limestone lines the walkways. Up-lights create a rich and warm feel.
With the capacity for 200 people, the restaurant is divided into a variety of different areas. Leather booths in blues, creams and burgundies creates an intimate atmosphere for late night dining. Lower banquettes make a casual bar area for lazy mornings with the newspapers or tea in the afternoon. High stools along the Oyster Bar invite guests for cocktails or hors d’oeuvres. There is even seating outside for those really wanting to take in the hustle and bustle.
In St Pancras Grand, each detail has been carefully considered, understanding the needs of guests who might be travelling by rail. Guests can leave their suitcases in the luggage room and keep an eye on the time with a classic three sided clock hanging on the wall. There is also a long sharing table – perfect for families or those dining alone.
The St Pancras Grand Restaurant and Oyster Bar is open daily between 7am and midnight, and offer private dining, creating discrete surroundings for up to 10 people. email stpg@searcys.co.uk or call 020 7870 9900.
