French Open a short trip away by Eurostar
High-speed train links from England to France on the Eurostar will prove attractive to tennis lovers hoping to get to the upcoming French Open.
Staged at the world-renowned Roland Garros stadium in Paris, the French Open is one the most cherished sporting tournaments in France.
From May 26th to June 8th, 500 of the greatest players in world tennis will descend on the French capital to compete for the highly coveted prize.
The French Open is one of four tournaments on tennis' Grand Slam circuit, along with the Australian and US opens and Wimbledon in the UK.
Unlike the grass courts of Wimbledon, players will compete on clay, which is good news for Spaniard Raphael Nadal who has won 103 of his last 105 matched on the surface.
He will resume his intense rivalry with Swiss player and current world number one, Roger Federer, who defeated Nadal in the Wimbledon final in 2007.
